I rarely write these reviews, but just having returned from TBH i think it only fair to write to highlight just how beautiful this place is.

It's a long way, yes, but that only adds to the excitement of arriving, where you're met by the resort manager. Phillipe made a special point of talking to us individually, to discuss anything we might want to raise.

Location - Perfect. it's a quiet island with all the amenities you could want. the beaches are quiet, as are the pools, which really should be seen to be believed. a walk round the island takes about 45 mins and i defy you to not have a quick dip in the turquoise water on your way round..!

Staff - Perfect. Incredibly friendly from the waiters to the villa host and the room boys. I'd like to make a special mention to Mihad who was always on hand, and Naday/Nadeem, who was incredibly friendly and did a superb job every day. thanks.

Facilities - Perfect. enough to do on the island, and fantastic excursions off it. If honeymooning consider the 'castaway' excursion essential, and budget for it. It is magical.

Restaurants - Perfect - superb food served with a smile and a chat. Yes the wine is expensive, but you knew that when you arrived! Please be polite to the staff as i saw a few people there who treated them a little discourteously, which really is unfair.

Villa - Perfect - Huge and cool, with a lovely sun deck and plunge pool. spent hours in the pool and deck with a G&T in hand.

Gripes - None really. i;d liked the wine to be a tad cheaper, and unfortunately we didn't get a bottle of complimentary champagne as others here have. I don't think this was a fault of the resort as they may not have known we were honeymooners!!

Overall - wonderful. Please consider this resort when planning a luxury Maldavian escape!!

We stayed at The Beach house in the mid of June and enjoyed every moment of it!!
Our trip was planned very quickly in few weeks before the travel date and our travel agent recommended this hotel as the most of the 5-star resorts in southern atolls were already fully booked.
We booked beach villa and got a free upgrade to water villa as per ongoing offer at the moment.

The flight and a long bumpy boat ride was all worth of it. On the first night my (now)fiancee proposed me and I could not have asked for a better location!

From the moment you arrive you will be personally welcomed by the management and the tranqility of the island makes you feel so relaxed and isolated from the rest of the world.
During our stay we hardly saw any other guests and almost felt that we are on our own little private island.
The staff is wonderful, sometimes almost even too attentive and the food is to die for!! My fiancee had lobster every night and I had a delicious mushroom soup almost as often...Highly recommended!!
They even delivered that for me for the lunch at the pool bar, even if it was not on their lunch menu :)

Villas are beautiful and I would definetely recommend booking a water villa with your own plunge pool overlooking the ocean. We stayed at the villa# 517 and saw a sunset and open sea directly from our terrace. You can always got to the pool bar for sundowners...

We even went out on a little boat/catamaran just the two of us after my fiancee proved that he can sail and in the middle of the sea we had some dolphines swimming around our boat! What a beautiful moment!!

We have been staying in Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius all before and in many of the great hotels around the world, and this hotel meets the same standars as if not more.
I would absolutely recommend this for a relaxing getaway with your significant other!

My fiancee surfs and took his boards with us just in case hoping that he might find some waves in the north also, but that did not happened. There was no waves of any kind close by. Do not bother taking your surfboard and if it is waves you are looking for go to the south!

Just something to be aware of: On the transfer from Hanimaadhoo airport to international airport my cigarettes and some other weird stuff as for example my contraceptive pills(!!!) were stolen from our suitcase. Keep your suitcase locked at all times when in transit! This is not hotel's fault but maybe something they could look into...
