Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, was called Chang'an in ancient times. It is situated in the central part of Weihe Plain. The city is bounded by the Weihe River in the north and the Qinling Ranges in the south. As one of China's seven ancient national capitals, it served as the capital for 12 dynasties spanning more than 1,000 years. Xi'an therefore, has a great number of precious relics and historical sites. More than 4,000 historical sites and tombs have been excavated and over 120,000 historical relics remain unearthed. The main tourist attractions include The Terra cotta Warriors and Horses, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Huaqing Pool, BanPo Site, Stele Forest, Great Mosque, QianLing Mausoleum, Famen Temple and Maoling Mausoleum. Xi'an was the starting point of the Acient Silk Road that extended from Asia to Europe and played an important role in cultural inter flow between the East and West in ancient times.

Detailed Itinerary: Visit the the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum - the Eighth Wonder of the World. More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC.

Terra-cotta Army: Emperor Qin Shihuang's Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, built on the ruins of Emperor Qin Shihuang's Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses pits, is a modern museum for archaeological excavation, scientific research, exhibitions, cultural relic protection and tourism service. It lies in Lintong District of Xi'an city. Emperor Qin Shihuang' Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum was listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 1987 and praised as the Eighth Wonder of the World.

After lunch, visit the Forest of Stone Stelae Museum -a classical courtyard styled structure with the oldest and richest collection of steles in China, And visit the Old City Wall, it is built during the 14th century on Tang dynasty foundations, date to the Ming dynasty.

Xi'an Forest of Stone Tablets Museum: was built in 1994 by expanding the building groups of Xi'an Confucian Temple on the basis of the "Forest of Stone Tablets" of 900-year history. Covering an area of 31,900 m2. It is an art museum for collecting, studying and displaying stone tablets, epitaphs and stone statues of all dynasties. At present, it collects more than 11,000 pieces of cultural relics in a display area of 4,900 m2. Because of the famous stone tablets, it is praised as a treasury of ancient Chinese calligraphic works and the biggest museum of stone tablets.
Have a local Dumpling / Jiaozi Dinner - Jiaozi is the most traditional food in China. Enjoy Tang Dynasty Show -performance of Chang'an music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty over a thousand years ago.

Detailed Itinerary: Visit the Great Mosque -the largest and best preserved mosques of China.

Great Mosque: Like the Great Mosques at Hangzhou, Quanzhou and Guangzhou, the Great Mosque of Xian is thought to have existed as early as the seventh century. The mosque that stands today, however, was begun in 1392 in the twenty-fifth year of the Ming Dynasty. It was ostensibly founded by naval admiral and hajji Cheng Ho, the son of a prestigious Muslim family and famous for clearing the China Sea of pirates. Since the fourteenth century, the mosque has undergone numerous reconstructions. Most of the buildings extant today are from the Ming and Qing Dynasties of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The mosque was constructed on Hua Jue Lane just outside the city walls built by the Ming Dynasty, in what was once the jiao-fang neighborhood for foreigners to the northwest of the city. Today, this neighborhood is part of Xian proper, with the city's famous Drum Tower a block away.

Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda: regarded by many as a symbol of the city Xian, the pagoda was built in 652 A.D. in Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang. and Visit the Provincial Museum -a magnificent architectural complex in the Tang Dynasty style. the museum exhibits over 3,000 unearthed historical relics, a small fraction of their collection. And then dirve to Xian Xianyang Airport in the afternoon for departure.
